If your heater is over 8 years old, replacement usually beats repair — parts for old units are hard to get. Send us the model and we'll tell you honestly which is worth doing.
Storage or instant? Instant heaters heat as you shower and suit homes where showers don't overlap. Storage tanks hold hot water ready and cope better when two bathrooms run at once — but they take more space and power. We'll advise based on your household, not the dearer unit.
Lukewarm water that used to be hot usually means a failing heating element or thermostat; water on the floor under the tank usually means the tank itself. The first is repairable, the second means replacing — a photo of the unit and its label tells us which.
Replacement starts from $380 including installation, with a 3-month workmanship warranty. No hot water at 11pm counts as an emergency; we're open.
